London United Basketball Club are on the road for this coming weekend as they travel to Solent Stars in the EBL Division One league game on the South coast and then travel Westbound on Sunday across to Plymouth Raiders in the BBL Trophy, hoping to get another win in the Trophy following on from the solid Worthing Thunder performance.
United are at full strength for both games and will be very keen to continue their 100% league record at Solent and then to turn around the different league status by winning at Plymouth.
Coaches Schiller and Majewski stated " We are really pleased with our start to the season, and all but a horrendous blip at Leopards in the Cup we have played as a team. We are both keen to get the chemistry right this year with those guys on court and we feel that we are now understanding what roles we should be playing and how to play together.
There are some tough teams in the EBL this year and there are some weaker ones, but there is very little difference between the top four or five to the mid range BBL teams and we know we can compete at a higher level."
Should United be successful this weekend it will place them at the top of the EBL and in a very good position in the BBL Trophy group giving them the chance to progress to the next round to match up with the BBL's big boys.
