The new lettings team at Adams are swift movers.
This week they let a one-bedroom rooftop flat in Hanwell for the full £875 a month asking price within five hours of taking it on the books.
They have also found a tenant within a day for a garden flat in Queen Annes Gardens, W5, (below) which was briefly available at £1,200 a month.
Lettings manager Matthew Bond and his colleague William Tsui, the new arrivals at the Northfield Avenue office, are old friends from their previous job, working for an Ealing agent.
"Since we've been here we've beaten all last year's figures. We often do viewings up until 8.30pm because evenings are often the only time professionals looking for somewhere to rent can get out to see places," says Matthew, who has specialised in the rental sector for six-and-a-half years.
"One of the first things I did when I joined Adams was to join several new web property portals which has raised the company profile and greatly increased the number of inquiries. We now get applicants literally from the four corners of the globe. William is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. That helps enormously with our Chinese applicants. As for prices," he adds, "they're holding steady. Well presented properties at the right price whizz out of the door."
Those on the books this weekend include a three-bedroom first floor flat in a period property in Westfield Road, W13 at £1,200 a month.
With recently fitted beechwood kitchen/breakfast room, living room with wooden floor and fireplace, double glazing and a garden, it probably won't be around for long especially when renters realise it's only five minutes sprint from Sainsbury's.
