AFTER an impressive September, it was all change at Hillingdon Borough FC as they entered October.
It started with Makael Scott leaving for Bedfont Sports and the club bringing in three players to strengthen the squad.
They were Leo Siki, a right back, to provide extra cover for injured player Luis Oliveira, while the midfield was boosted by the signings of Milan McQueen and Charlie Wilkins and Mikin, a left midfielder.
The first game was a 4-1 loss away to Yateley where a disappointing performance was only partly compensated by a Romario Martin goal.
A week later, they welcomed Eversley & California to the Middlesex Stadium in an entertaining game of 10 goals. Sadly, seven of them were for Eversley.
The loss was not helped by the sending off of Wagih Eldakhakhny. Hillingdon’s goals were scored by Romario Martin, Rahiem Wright-Keizer and substitute Olamikun Adeosun.
A 10-day break between games gave manager Ali Abdulkadir the opportunity to spend extra time on the training pitch with his young team. This time also helped the new signings.
On October 24, they welcomed Holmer Green in the Division One Challenge Cup and progressed to the next round.
They score in the first minute through Amir El-Harrak and added a second from Erand Saraqi, before an own goal clinched it.
Borough finished the month with a short trip across West London to face London Samurai Rovers in the league.
A poor start left them 2-0 down after 20 minutes, and after the break they conceded another two early.
Three goals in eight minutes, from Raheim Wright-Keizer, Jake Pickett and Charlie Wilkins, brought the game back to 4-3.
In November, there are four home games at the Middlesex Stadium:
November 4, Yateley United
November 7, Holmer Green (7:45 pm)
November 11, Penn and Tyler Green
November 18, Bagshot,
Admission is £7 for adults, £4 concessions and is cash only on the turnstile.
This season, the club is running two U18 sides in the Allied Counties Youth League and the Southern Counties Floodlit Youth League.
The Allied Counties side are home to Chalfont St Peter on Monday, November 6, 7:45 pm.
The Southern Counties side hosts Southall on Thursday, November 9, at 7:30 pm, followed by Hilltop on the 16th, also 7:30pm.
The club is also looking for a coach to assist the first team management. To apply, email admin@hillingdon.football
