London United played a double header weekend to finish 2005.

On Saturday they faced a fairly straight forward task of travelling to Kings Lynn in the EBL Division One league race and came out fairly comfortable victors at 80-91 after leading the game by 30 points. Pete Deppisch top scored with 29, Santa Ataha 28 and Walid Mumuni chipped in with 17.

On Sunday United travelled to Guildford to take on the Guildford Heat in the final game of the BBL Trophy. United were without 5 first team players due to injury and players travelling back to the States for the Christmas break, however the remaining players put in a great display to stretch the fully professional BBL Guildford to double overtime, and were lucky to escape from defeat due to a 0.1 second bail out call in regulation time, from the referee to send the Heats forward Derek Manner to the line to tie up the game and give the Heat another opportunity to win the game.

In the 1st period of overtime United were 3 up until 3 seconds to go and it was Dean Williams who hit a long range 3 pointer to tie the game and push it to the second period of overtime, which Heat finally won by 3 points at 97-94.

Top scorers for London United - Quashie 23, Klocek 19, Mumuni 18 United were without Deppisch, Reid, Van Elswyk, Ataha, Jagodka and Knechtel.

United's next game will now be on the 7th January at Brunel University Osterley against Manchester Magic tip off at 6pm and then in the semi finals of the National Trophy on the 8th January also at Osterley against Worcester Wolves.
